Drawing a baby (part 2) - Painting face
Continuing the work, now we will paint the first part of the baby.
Here are the pencils which I used for paint face and hands. I numbered each of these pencils and below of the drawings I wrote the number of each pencil I used.
Here I'm using the pencil 5 (orange).
On face I will make many light layers with different colors, building the base for the skin.
In this part, after I finished the first layer with the pencil 5, I started to make the second layer with the pencil 4 (pink).
Here using the pencil 1 (brown), I started to work harder in shadows.
When you are making shadows you have to decide where the light is coming from, for put it in the right place.
This step takes some time for you learn how to make and how to put the shadows in the right place, so you have to practice it. Don't worry if the shadows will not be like you want, just keep practicing.
In this step I covered the face with one more layer using the pencil 4 (pink) and I worked a little more in shadows with the pencil 6 ( light orange). The pencil in the middle is the kind wich I use for write. I worked with it in shadows too.
Here I used the pencils 2,3,4 in shadows again and also in the mouth of baby. The pencil 4 (pink) I used as a blander betwen the shadows and normal skin tone.
You can keep building the skin tone until you realize it is good for you.
Here are the pencils I used for paint the eyes.
The lighter or darker color of the eyes will depend of where the light is coming from.
Here I used the pencil 1 (from the first picture) for make the eyebrow.
For paint the rest of eyes I used all the colors from the second picture of the pencils and I left 2 white spots for show the light in eyes.
In the end I did the same thing in the hands as I did in the face.
In the next part I will finish to paint the body of the baby using watercolor.
